Manley Wine Lodge
Tulbagh, Ceres and Route 62 Accommodation

Just outside the historic and unspoilt town of Tulbagh, about one hour’s drive from Cape Town, lies Manley Wine Lodge, a wine farm, hotel, wedding and conference venue with a unique character.

Manley is a working, award-winning wine farm offering guests the opportunity to stay, enjoy fine wines, eat well and relax all year round in some of the most beautiful scenery in the Western Cape.

There is plenty to do and see. Come wine tasting, the Tulbagh valley has some of the best red wine in South Africa. Explore the surrounding mountains and abundant birdlife on foot or on mountain bike. Or simply put your feet up with a good book.

For weddings and conferences we offer a superb Cape mountain valley location, great facilities and a team of people who are exceptional at planning and management (they really can take care of just about everything).

Manley is all about warmth, quality and good old-fashioned value. Come and visit us and discover how Manley Wine Lodge can make a weekend break, a wedding or your next conference just 'a little special'.

Parts of Manley Winelodge hotel date back to the 1860s. Fortunately those parts do not include the plumbing which is all very modern and fully functional, offering distinctive accommodation in Tulbagh.

The main thatched Manor House, unlike most of the buildings in Tulbagh, does not follow the classic Cape Dutch design but reflects rather the French Huguenot homes of the late 19th century, an honest and homely character.

A short walk across the lawns from the thatched Manor House reception, dining and lounge areas we have 7 large luxury double (or twin) rooms, with both bath & shower en suite, TV & DSTV, air-conditioning, tea/coffee facilities, and bar fridges. The rooms are arranged around a shaded courtyard adjacent to the pool.

Most of our rooms also have their own fireplaces, making them especially cosy in winter when we have been known to get a dusting of snow on the mountains. Christmas in Winter!

Tulbagh accommodation is richer for our two beautiful thatched cottage apartments on the banks of our newly constructed dam.

The first is a large luxury, two bedroom apartment, with all the usual room amenities and some limited self-catering facilities, although not ideal for full blown self-catering.

The second is home to our Bridal Suite with a wonderfully indulgent four poster bed, victorian-style bath and once again all the amenities of our other rooms.
